Humidity: Obtaining the Perfect Moisture Level

HumidityHumidity can be a drag, but even more importantly, it can have a big impact on the quality of the air in your home and your home comfort levels. The United States Environmental Protection Agency suggests families keep proper humidity levels, saying it is an easy way your home can achieve improved indoor air quality.

As it turns out, we can help you control it.

The best thing to do is to install a whole-house humidifier and dehumidifier system. Humidity levels between 35% and 50% are preferred for comfort, experts say. But if you want an environment that doesn’t include microbes and that won’t damage wood, the humidity levels would ideally be kept between 45% and 50%. Humidity needs to be balanced appropriately to make sure your home has the right amount.

  • This humidity control chart shows how different types of humidifiers impact the features availableHigher Levels of Moisture – Air may feel stuffy and warmer than the actual temperature in your home and can provide the ideal basis for the growth of bacteria and other pollutants.
  • Lower Levels of Moisture – Your body may react by experiencing dry skin, sore throats and respiratory issues. Dry air is also bad for your wooden home furnishings, such as floors, paneling and furniture.

We have a complete offering of quality equipment, and combined with our expert advice and knowledge, will help you maintain proper humidity levels, relax comfortably in your home and breathe easier.
